I tasked myself with writing as many blog topics as I could think of one day. I decided to take a new approach regarding writing blogs as I found conjuring up different topics on the spot was not as easy as I first imagined and I would like to improve on my grammar. I started by brainstorming as many topics that came to mind. I set myself a goal of brainstorming at least 50 topics, unfortunately, I ended with 30-something topics; I have been adding to the pile of topics as new ideas occur.
I report that this new method changed my blog writing workflow. Originally, before this self-induced challenge, I thought about a topic, wrote a blog draft, edited the draft quick and dirty, thought about a media image that loosely related to the topic at hand, drew the image on the computer, then published the content on my blog site. There were a few issues with the previous method of writing the blogs. Surprisingly, thinking about a topic on the spot was quite the challenge. After I had the topic in mind, then followed the task of going through with writing the blog and finally publish on the internet.
The new approach seems to be working better, as a result, I’m on my third blog since using this new approach. By taking the time to write the topics before-hand, it gives me time to ponder about the topic as I go on about my day. Additionally, this new method also gives me time to practice and improve using the vector drawing program I’ve been using. As it’s different to practice using the program once a week as opposed to producing multiple images in one go. All in all, this new method feels like the correct approach. Hopefully, I can keep the momentum going.
